Their website struggled with outdated content, poor SEO, and low visibility in search results. Over three years, we implemented a focused SEO strategy. As a result, organic users increased by 132.12%, new users increased by 141.87%, and sessions improved by 114.60%.
The Challenge
The website faced several roadblocks that prevented it from ranking well and attracting potential clients:
- Outdated Website Structure – The website had poor navigation, making it difficult for visitors to find essential services. Pages were disorganised, which affected both user experience and search engine crawlability.
- Weak Content Strategy – The site had limited and generic content that did not align with user intent or target relevant keywords. It lacked informative pages and detailed service descriptions.
- Lack of Technical SEO – The site had missing schema markup, slow loading speeds, and poorly structured URLs, which negatively impacted indexing and rankings.
- Unoptimised Google Business Profile – The Google Business Profile lacked detailed information, reviews, and updates, reducing local visibility in search results.
- Weak Backlink Profile – The site had very few high-quality referring domains, making it difficult to build authority and compete with other rehab centres in search rankings.
The Solution
To overcome these challenges, we implemented a multi-phase SEO strategy focused on content, technical improvements, and authority building:
- Website Restructure – We redesigned the site’s navigation to make it user-friendly. A clear menu structure and well-organised service pages allowed visitors to find information quickly.
- Content Development – We created detailed service pages, optimised existing content, and introduced educational resources on addiction recovery to enhance topical authority.
- Technical Fixes – Schema markup was implemented for better search engine understanding. Page speed was optimised, and mobile responsiveness was improved for a seamless browsing experience.
- Google Business Profile Optimisation – We updated the GBP listing with accurate information, engaging images, regular posts, and encouraged customer reviews to improve local search visibility.
- Link-Building Campaign – We acquired high-quality backlinks through outreach and guest posting, strengthening the website’s authority and trustworthiness.

Organic Traffic Growth
Between 2020 and 2021, organic users increased from 18,449 to 42,823, marking a 132.12% increase. New users increased by 141.87%, and sessions increased by 114.60%, showing improved engagement.
2021 to 2022 saw continued progress with a 6.61% rise in organic users, reflecting the sustained impact of SEO efforts.
We could not compare 2022 vs 2023 organic traffic due to the transition from Google Analytics 3 (GA3) to Google Analytics 4 (GA4). GA3 used a session-based model, whereas GA4 follows an event-based tracking system, making direct comparisons inaccurate. Additionally, GA3 stopped collecting data on July 1, 2023, resulting in incomplete data for the full year. As a result, 2023 GA4 organic traffic data now serves as the new benchmark.
For 2023 vs 2024, organic search sessions increased by 91.47%, from 13,380 to 25,619. Engaged sessions rose by 85.34%, from 9,303 to 17,242, demonstrating stronger user interaction. Although the engagement rate dropped by 3.2%, the significant rise in traffic and user engagement underscores the effectiveness of our ongoing SEO efforts.
Search Console Insights
Over the last six months, organic clicks increased from 16.5K to 16.8K, indicating steady growth in search traffic. Impressions increased from 438K to 505K, reflecting improved visibility in search results.
Organic Keywords Growth
The website experienced a strong boost in keyword rankings. In May 2020, the site ranked for 1,338 keywords, with 80 in the top 3 positions. By September 2023, keyword rankings increased to 2,042, with 85 in the top 3 positions. A notable increase was seen in positions 4-10, highlighting the success of content optimisation and SEO improvements.

Referring Domain Growth
A targeted link-building campaign helped establish the website’s authority. In May 2020, the site had 164 referring domains. By September 2023, this improved to 420, marking a 155.5% increase. Strengthening the backlink profile contributed to improved rankings and greater domain trust.
